Water Drop in Red and Blue - Water Drop Photograph Canvas Print

I had seen a lot of water drop photography on the internet, and I'd tried my hand at it before, but was never happy with the results that I got. Then I came across the key that made everything come together. The trick was to use flash to light the background rather than the water drop itself.

With this new tip, I set up a rig in my spare bedroom using a gradient printed on a piece of paper as my background. Once I had the water drops coming and the focus nailed down it was just a matter of capturing several splashes to find the one I liked. It took a while until I got several that were acceptable. This is the one that was my favorite from that session.

I'm a photographic artist based near Nashville, Tennessee. I love to travel and have been from border to border and coast to coast all across the United States.
