Artist's Description
It was early afternoon and I had just arrived at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. After passing through the entrance gate, I went to one of the first viewpoints along Desert View Drive near Yaki Point and got out to walk. The clouds in the sky were amazing and I hadn't gone very far before I just had to stop and setup my camera near the rim to take this photo looking out toward the Isis Temple formation. I stood there and marveled at the interplay of light and shadow as the clouds passed over the canyon. It was a beautiful day and my trip was just getting started...
