Iceberg Arch - Greenland Travel Photograph Poster

It was our expedition's first morning deep in Greenland's Scoresby Sund fjord complex. We awoke to an early breakfast and then headed out into the Zodiac boats to explore.

I remember seeing this big iceberg off in the distance with a large arched opening. We headed in that direction, but we were not alone. Another of the Zodiac boats saw it too and followed us over there.

We circumnavigated the iceberg from a safe distance on opposite sides. Every time our boats passed one another on opposite sides of the arch, we all took photos of the other boat. I have several photos looking in both directions, but it was this one that best showed the beauty and the scale of this majestic iceberg on that September morning.
