It was mid-morning and I was driving east of Vancouver, Washington along the Evergreen Highway when I came around a turn and saw the Cape Horn Scenic Overlook. I pulled in to see what there was to see. Wow! This was my first real exposure to the Columbia River Gorge. You could see all the way down into the gorge for several miles. What a view!
