Artist's Description
It was nearing sunset in Arches National Park and I was trying to find someplace different to photograph. I was driving on the main park road when I noticed a dirt road off to the left after I passed the Balanced Rock parking lot. Turning in there, I pulled off to the side of the road and got out of my car. The elevated position gave a much better view of Balanced Rock with the snow-capped mountains in the background. I liked that you could also several of the other rock formations stretching back toward the mountains. I had found a new favorite spot at Arches.
